We are close to sixweeksaway from our wedding!! I have all sorts of emotions and thoughts going through my head. Allveryexciting!!!

For the most part, I think we are pretty much planned and just hoping everything goes smoothly!

Being Engaged has been some of the best times of my life!

I picked up my wedding dress last weekend and it is so beautiful, It was very surreal to put it on and I still have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that I soon will be wearing my wedding dress….. awwwww…….

Every part of planning our wedding has happened very organically, places - things - friends - family - timing has all just fallen into place. We are blessed to have some very special people in our lives who have helped us out in many amazing ways.

After my mother and I picked up my dress, we went to our cars and across the street was the place where Ryan and I first met, Port. We stopped decided to take a few pictures - and I thought to myself, had I not been there on that fateful night I would never be marrying the man who I love so dearly now.  Here I am now standing outside with my wedding dress in hand. Wehadtogointocelebrate!

We had a glass of wine on a beautiful sunny Saturday with an acoustic singer, who sang to us “Marry Me” by train …. afewtearslater all I could do was smile :)

Kind of reminds you, that everything happens for a reason and you have to enjoy and cherish every part of your life.

Om another note, my bridal shower is tomorrow …. everything is happening!

Wedding invitations are so fun! I love getting mail, a thank you card - a party invite - a wedding invitation, it’s always a special treat to come home to something in the mail:)
Especially in a day and time where we are always connected to the Internet and sit in front of computers and answer emails all day long.
Even more fun to me is getting all the wedding response cards, Ryan and I have a pact that whomever gets home first has to wait until the other to open the responses. It’s an exciting part of our day and daily we are getting more and more excited for our wedding :)

And the long awaited wherearewegoingtogo HONEYMOON has been booked! The Viceroy Anguilla it is! 10 days…………… awwwwwwwwwwwww!
Oh yea and that is me on the boat ;)
For months, Ryan and I have been researching where we want to honeymoon, it had almost become more thought out then the wedding itself. See for me, I have not had 2 consecutive weeks off in over 12 years so our honeymoon is HUGE! And we both love to travel. One thing we decided on early was that we would not travel to a place we had either visited before…. so we took to the globe… the light up globe we have in our office (thanks Deaks - one of the best gifts ever!)
We started out with Tahiti and after many conversations with friends, family and clients it became pretty apparent Ryan and I would be a little bored after a while, see Ryan may be one of the most social people I know… and although the beaches look beautiful, niether of us sit still too well ;)
Moving on to Mexico….. it all kept coming back to Playa Del Carmen and Tulum, which I have been to a few times. Trust me, we will go here in our lives together…. its such an amazing place however it went against our pact. Cabo, we have both been there…. a few more Mexico cities came about however trip advisor had travel alerts hmmmmm doesn’t sound too safe to us!
SO we took to Europe, Ryan has traveled the Greek Islands and The French Rivieria, I spent a month in Paris when I was 18. We looked into San Sebastian Spain, which seems perfect but at the end of the day too much travel time to get too. We looked at the Italian Riviera and got alot of feedback - bottom line, Italy is dirty.
We thought about Bali, which we have to do one day but again the travel time….
We really just wanted amazing beaches, wonderful resturants, exciting activities and relaxing and romatic time together - awayfromeverything - I know for sure we found it in Anguilla…… and we simply can not wait!
Trust me, we will blog the trip…. it is something we will never forget.

Tomorrow Ry and I leave for NYC! I am sooooo excited! I have been traveling for work to NY for 12 years now and honestly I dislikeitalot. Fashion week is pretty gruling, its not fun, its not glamorous by any means however it is an experience that is one of kind. This time I get to share it with the love of my life and I simply can not wait to explore the big city with him, my love!!
I stayed at the Hudson hotel once in my early twenties and I remember, as I was sharing a tiny bed with my then co-worker, that I dreamt of the day me and my man could stay together at the Hudson. WELL, tomorrow we check in :)
As we are packing tonight, picking out what we are going to wear…. I had this moment and looked at him and said “babe we are like Rachel and Roger” … he laughed but he got it. No we do not have 12 suitcases of Louis Vuttion to but we have packed our finest digs.
NYC here we come!

Happy New Year!!
It is our wedding year and so far we are off to an amazing start!!
After a much needed vacation over the holidays to one of our favorite places, Sun Valley Idaho, we are back to work and our life at home. We fell in love all over again in Idaho, it was just Ryan and I and the dog, Gringo. Ps. pic is of Gringo and as many know, including Ryan I am a little obsessed.
Back to falling in love all over, we spent two days driving to Idaho and 5 wonderful days of just spending time together in the small town of Sun Valley. By the end of the trip we were looking at real estate to see how we could live there forever, itwasoneofthosevacations:)
Well back to reality it is!! And, we are still just as happy!! Wedding planning is in full effect. You can check out the details on our website www.ryananddevon.com
